Default Hi Seas Grand Slam mono.

I've been hearing some chatter about this line. Jimmy Houston and Bill Dance are pushing it as well. Of course, they get paid to do so. So has anyone used this line, and what is your opinion of how it handled?

I haven't used mono in years, but I have used the Black Widow copolymer. It was pretty good line, very strong but as with many copolymers it had an issue with line memory after it was on the reel a while. When I was using mono a few years ago I preferred McCoy's Mean Green, if you haven't tried that one, it is one I would suggest.

As with any pro endorcement, I generally take those with a couple grains of salt. Dance was sponsored by Stren for a long time and now it's High Seas but the song remains the same. One good thing about mono, though - it's not expensive so taking a shot on a spool won't set you back too much.
