Default New guy with a nice catch

Hey all, I'm new to the forum, I've been on other Bass forums and stumbled upon this one and found it to be EXTREMLY full of good info. Sooo I went to a nice little lake about a mile from my house and had a good day. The beds were crazy and the schools of Bass were unreal. I caught a couple little guys and then right before I packed it up, I threw a 10 in Snake lure over a couple beds. Well the snake dissappeared and I reeled this bad boy in. Just under 5lbs but I rounded up. So 5lbs From Punta Gorda FL. Thanks

Thanks all!!!! Yeah it put up a nice fight too, great day! It felt like a 9 pounder, but the scale said otherwise. First time I got one with the Mann's hardnose snake lure. They have such great action. Thanks again for the warm welcome, I'm not going anywhere anytime soon.

LOL! It's the first 3 letters of my last name(which no one can pronounce) so SAC is as far as most people get to, it's been my nick name since like 3rd grade. Thanks again everyone, I was super happy I got the chance to reel that Bass in. I'm going back soon to see if I can catch it again

Default I'm pretty new here also...

Welcome, seems like a nice bunch and the ringleader. Kevin, has awesome videos and information on the site.

Great bass, I'm more tempted to throw a big snake now up here in NY.

Best Always,
VinnyH

From what I've heard from people I've talked to about throwing a snake, is that BIG Bass love them. A friend of mine told me, if you want to know if there is any big Bass where you're fishing, just throw a snake, you'll find out then because you'll be reeling in a Monster. Sure enough!

Let's put it this way...with that size and type of lure, you're way more likely to catch a big one than a little one. Of course, that also means the number of fish you catch will decrease. So that's a "quality over quantity" decision.
