See if i can catch a 6lb Tamarrow i seen em scouting the shoreline, for what i think might of been spawning sights, But they arn't spawning yet, later on in the day they were busting the surface all day, eating...what i think were Bluegills, or maybe shad, So i switched to a top water, had one on a crank bait in a bluegill pattern, he was about 2 lbs, and another on a black/blue tube jig rigged texas Pitched it right next to a Xmas tree, other than that all the others were on topwater, 2 nice size ones, about 4+ lbs, and 2 decent sized @ around 15-16", and 2 @ 14".
All in all it was a good day, Going out tamarrow, with my dad whos just a camera man, i had to keep running up to these construction workers in the neighborhood every time i caught one, the pictures on the ground do no justice, I got another picture of the 2nd big one i caught below, My set up Reel- Pflueger patriarch 6:4:1 *with 12lb trilene smooth cast Mono* Rod- Topwater/jerkbait series bass mojo Rod And i gotta say it really works well when using a bait that has a walk-the-dog action, like the spook, or the spit'n image, and that Reel, NO SLIP DRAG, solid "sweep" hook sets with that reel.

I'm with you, Dup.. Still trying to find a hot spot. I haven't lived in west burbs long enough to have found much water to fish from shore. Making progress though!

S4il, I just joined this site. And the first post I viewed was yours. Im sure you dont want to give up your fishing spots, but are you fishing in the forest preserves? Im from Aurora also. Been trying to find a place to shore fish for Largemouths.

Hey man how did you work your tubes? Did you let them fall to bottom and just reel in or bouncing them off rocks or what? Also where did you get that spit n image lure?
