Thumbs up Check this rod out!

I was browsing tackle tour and I cam across this rod http://www.tackletour.com/reviewrenegadehh.html

It made by hookhider, rods, tackle tour Loved the IM7 rod! The IM7 rod is only 30 bucks, and you can get it at walmart!

Thought I'd let you guys know!

I couldn't bring myself to buy one simply because it's too gimmicky looking. Kinda like the Rambo type knife that held matches and junk in the handle

I have to admit, that is an extremely useful gimmick. I hate cutting off my lures, but I also hate when they get hooked together in my rod lockers. That would seem to be a non-issue with these handles.

I bet some smart engineer came up with that. Okay, flame on lol.

Yup! Our rods do the same thing when we put 'em in the back of the truck! That would help with that problem!

bassinbob, I think if any of the rod manufacturers were going to make something similar, they would have by now. If you noticed, the review was from 2002, so the rod probably came out around 2001. I've never even heard of these, and never seen them at walmart. My guess is they didn't sell well and they have been discontinued. And if not, they're probably not 30 bucks anymore, I mean that was 7 years ago.

Interesting idea though.
