My 3.75 hour ER experiance...

My little girl decided to stick a plastic craft bead up her nose. It took 3 hours and 45 mintues for the doctor to show up. It took him 2 minutes to pull the bead out with some fancy tool. Wow , I was quite upset with that long of a wait. She started to get really fussy , and the nose started to swell. I am still mad , but happy its out.

Yep there would have been an arse chewing if I were you. Doctors seem to care less what you are dealing with, they just go at their own pace which makes me mad.

Glad everything is good though as far as your little girl is concerned.

That sucks CMorg, I'm glad the got it out and I hope her little nose doesn't get too sore.

I fear that isn't anything compared to the wait for doctors that folks are gonna get under this new healthcare fraud, I mean law though.

Id say your right on the health care bill. I also heard it will affect people with health savings accounts... guess what I have ? Yep , a high deductible health savings account. I love it , I getta keep what I dont spend on health care. I guess now Obama wants to keep what I dont use ? I havent heard whats going to happen.

Glad everything is ok. But if you're ever in an ER waiting for hours, tell them you're having chest pains. A doctor will be there before you know it.

i got charged 1200 bucks for a bandaid and super glue last year on my daughter...i said she would live. 20 other people and my wife did not agree. ER agreed with me,and still cost 1200 bucks. after it was done i had to pay 200. i told them they would have to come get the 1200 in person cause it wasnt happening

I hear ya, my wife spent 3 days in the hospital in Feb. and just her room cost us (ins) $29,800. That's not including the Dr. or drugs or other services This is crazy.

yep the greatest understatement to come from a nurse is "the doctor will be with you in a mintue" figure on 60 to 90 mintues average wait time..they will get to you at there L.E.I.S.U.R.E. and not a moment sooner..they DO get paid by the job, not by the hour so they don't care how long YOU wait..we are just the un-educated masses without an MD behind our names that pay them..

I'm glad to hear she is ok. Nothing will wreck your sense on sanity faster than going to the ER. Plus they gouge you for evereything. What a racket! Which reminds me of Bamas recent trip to the ER. I think that was a Norman cranbait that sent him there. lol Good thing THAT didn't go up his nose!
