Carefull for this guy

What’s up with the virus caution email that I got as an email but not in my PM? Did anyone else get this? I have my own virus protection so no way I would run a random scan from an unknown sender ever!

It reads like this:

Yeah, Vegas there are a few other threads on here about this problem. I had the same thing happen to me...got the new message alert in my email inbox, but didn't have the PM when I came to the forums. I'm pretty sure Kevin posted up that he globally deleted all PM's from the MannInBlackk, so most likely it was trashed before you were able to see it in your new messages.

A spammer on the other hand deserves nothing short of a hanging. At least from my perspective. There's thousands of guys like me who try to be honest and build a website to make a few dollars. We spend a lot of time writing articles trying to be informative and use just the right amount of keywords so we get good listings in search engines. Some even do opt-in email news letters where people can sign up for and get a decent read with a few ads in it. But people have to sign up before they are sent to them.

Then along comes scum like the one that sent those spam pms. Some are nothing more than a webmaster with no ethics trying to push their product, some of those links load spyware, some even virises, etc. So people get bad ideas about what a webmaster is and won't click on the ads a legitamate webmaster has on his site when they find him in the search engine. It's a case of a few bad apples giving everybody a bad name.
