Chick River TX
I learned a lesson this weekend... when fishing a tournament with an organization you've never fished with before... make sure you read the rules first. My dad and I fished a Region 8 Federation Open this past Sat. We were running late and actually blasted off a couple boats late. Well we had a decent day. We had 5 in the boat by around 12:00. We culled 3 more time before weigh in at 3:00. We get to the weigh in and realized our mistake. It was an 8 fish limit and not 5. I've never heard of this before. Never thought about it either. Our 5 weighed 11.47 lbs and we threw 5 lbs. back in the river that we could have weighed. I was sick! We probably would have made a check by keeping those other 3 fish. I haven't seen the results and I probably don't want to. It was a good day fishing with my dad either way but I'm just pi$$ed at myself for not reading the rules first. It was a poorly run tounament in my opinion and I won't do it again but still I'm sick about it!

11 pounds is a good limit this time of year on the river. You probably would have won a little $$.
