Default Longer shaft for TM needed - do they sell just the shafts?

Great site, been lurking here for a few days and just registered. I have an older MK trolling motor that has a 38" shaft but feel it might be too short for it's next home on the bow of a 16 Starcraft D-star. Does MK or any other after-market source sell an "up-grade" in a 40+ length? I'd need to lengthen the wires but that shouldn't be too bad. Thoughts?

SCHTICK,
Contact Jack at ON SITE TROLLING MOTOR REPAIR SERVICE, 1-800-364-3949 or www.trollingmotorparts.com . He keeps a good supply of parts for MK & MG trolling motors as he is a factory authorized repair service. If Jack does not have what you need, he can probably have it drop shipped to you. He will also be able to advise you of any problems you might run into. Dont call too early as Jack has breakfast at Lake Fork Marina until around 9:00.
