Default Grappler Shad

I watched a fishing show (forget which one) and the host said the go to lure for most occasions is a jointed grappler shad. They are made by Cotton Cordell. Anyone use them? Any thoughts good or bad?

I haven't used the jointed ones yet, but the ones I have did very well on smallmouth on the Fox River last fall. I think they were designed for walleyes, that's why I brought them to that river. Maybe the smallies just got to them first. I will be purchasing a mess of jointed ones when the tax refund comes.

Oh yeah, Bill Dance had the Grappler Shads on his show last year, that's how I found out about them.

Grappler Shads are available everywhere. Wal-mart, Bass Pro Shops, Cabela's, Gander Mountain, and any decent tackle shop near you.

Zooker brings up a goood point. Grappler Shads are a little less expensive, and I like the variety in color patterns they have. Not that Rapala's aren't even more various in color, just different. Neither would do you wrong.

The Grappler is made by Cotton Cordell. It comes in a single body and jointed body.

the grappler shad is o.k. but the Big O is alot better in my opinion they dive from 2-5 feet! Next to the baby 1-, the big o is my favorite crankbait (shallow) Thanks

ZOOK

I noticed you throw alot of the shad raps. You really catch fish on these. Guess I havent give them enough time on the line
