Default Removing Backlash.

Heres a little trick i learned about how to remove backlash.....this will come in real handy for those of you who fish at night.

(1) Once you realize you have backlash stop and cool off.....dont make it worse by picking and pulling.
(2) Place your thumb onto the loose coils of line and work it from side to side on the spool.
(3) Turn the reel handle forward half a turn and repeat step # 2.
(4) Repeat step #2 and # 3 up to five or six times.
(5) This helps to straighten out and redistribute the inter-laping coils of loose line so they dont hang up.
(6) Tighten your drag control knob to reduce the amount of free spool.
(7) Hold the line lightly between your thumb and forefinger and strip the line in a manner that if too much resistance is encountered the line will slide out from between your fingers.

This isnt a magical cure all.....but you will be amazed at how well it works.
