on a Home made spinnerbait with a red haired hand tied skirt borrowed from a sleeping girlfriend ? Make the blades colorado and red in color to match your new skirt and the bloody nose your about to receive when you get back home and find she has noticed she is damned near bald, because you really like the first skirt you tied up, so you made a dozen more in case you lose one ? A rattle trap silver/black back.
I am going to take a guess and say that you got them at the boat ramp.

You caught them in an eddy, maybe behind a rock, right near one of the dam gates.

Norman's LIL N, somewhere where there wasn't any current LOL. I don't know the lake, but obviously it wasn't near the gate. I'm guessing a creek somewhere away from the gates.

You describing the fish or yourself? Or both ?

Seriously-at first glance that it doesn't make a lot of sense. HOWEVER: After looking at the picture and knowing where you caught them it does.

Cold, stained water+shallow depth+the most vital element-sunshine=bass moving up shallow to sun and feed if opportunity presents itself.

I agree with Reb, seems relatively normal (except the 4' part) looking for food while it's warm,

  2. jump in ye buddy's Yugo
  3. Drove to Concord
  4. Slipped in behind the fish tank
  5. and dipped them with a six foot net whilst tempting them with the beef jerky you could not pass up when entering the store?

Now, you must have been rippin a rattle trap? If thats not how you did it, you just got lucky!!! Later Friend!

Ditto. That would be my first thought. A crankbait somewhere where the water was dead and baitfish was present most likely on a northern bank.
