Default Fishfinder question

First off I have all new batteries. 3 Deep cycle bps, 1 bps starter, and a few other randoms. My issue is and it has been going on for quite some time now, After I turn my engine off and the fishfinder is on it always says "Low Input voltage". It does not always shut off but sometimes will. I charge all my batteries on my boat with a 5.5.5 amp charger (brand new). The fishfinder itself is a humminbird 595c. I usually run it on one of the deep cycle batteries.

Do any of you guys know what the problem could be ??

Thanks in advice ...Mojo

Not sure why it would come up with a low voltage warning. Does it have a screen where you can check to see what the incoming voltage is? Also on my old boat they were all hooked up tot he cranking battery and I'm pretty sure the new one is that way too. One problem with using the TM batteries is that mine is a 24V circuit.

First off you have to get the power and ground off the troler batteries. Thats a no no. Causes interference. Hook it up on tthe main battery and clean the hook ups. Bert ya the probelm will be solved.

check your humminbird setting for the low voltage alarm. it is adjustable, maybe yours is set a little high. also, i personally like mine hooked to the cranking battery and leave the voltage on the screen along with the water temp and depth.

and do what laser suggested.

Definately. Only thing on trolling batteries like everyone has said goes to the cranking battery. The very best setup is beleive it or not this......................1 or 2 or 3 batteries for your trolling motor alone. Anything emgine related and boat related such as engine, lights, pumps etc on the main battery and a small you can put anywherre lawn mower battery tucked away somewhwere for your electrinics. NO and I mean ABSOLUTEKY no interference from elctrical soursces can reach your electronics this way. And DO NOT worry. The little lawn mower battery actually holds a charge well enough for finders for about 2 1/2 to 3 trips.
