Default Floating Worms

We went fishing today in Taylor Bay. Caught 9 kepper bass on floating worms. Came back out through the canal, tied on a couple of stretch elevens and picked up 4 keeper strippers for supper tomorrow. The wife is going to make some corn bread and coleslaw, and I am going to be in hawg heaven tomorrow. happy fishing.

What are the brand and name of a floating work. Like a zoom super fluke.

Chris, I'm not sure what brand we were using. They were 6" floaters different colors. No flukes. When I go to the garrage I will check the the Mfg, let you know what brand. Something I've had laying under the seat for quite some time. Have a good agy

RS, is it a worm that really "floats"? I use that rig with a Trick Worm-usually pink. It doesn't float as such, but the rapid way I work it keeps it on the surface. The only worms I have found that really float are the 3X baits, and they have a few drawbacks. If the Edge worms really float I'll have to give them a look.

Reb, try to answer your question. They are not 3Xbaits. I bought these worms about 12 years ago, and at the time they were bubblegum pink, white and yellow. And I do know they were called floating worms. Now! Whether they actually float on top or not, I'm not sure. I rig them weightless, TR with swivel about 14in up. Cast at cover and zip them back across, they do stay on top as I am zipping them to me. Will have to expirement more to see if they actually float. Sorry I couldn't answer your question. They were in bags when I got them, the bags came apart, I put them in plastic worm boxs. Again I'm almost sure they were edge..

Thanks, RS. I think we fish them the same way-swivel up the line and real quick retrieve. I didn't think you were referring to 3X baits. I've bought worms called floating worms in the past but they didn't float-they sank slowly. Fishing them fast keeps them on the top. Good fish catcher regardless.
