What the hell? Do you really need to differentiate 2 lbs for buzzbait line as opposed to spinnerbait? That is way too much crap.

Get some 30 pound power pro, 15 big game and 6 pound flouroclear and you are really covered pretty well. You may be able to specialize a little more based on different lakes or techniques you specialize in, but lets not get ridiculous.

Well, I did the whole list and decided to erase it, because I agree with WTL. Things vary too much, and it depends on the conditions of the day and your pattern. A 2 lbs test change between spinnerbaits and buzzbaits, assuming you're not doing something extremely specialized, is a bit ridiculous. However, with something like crankbaits, that is necessary. I'm a very technical guy when it comes to fishing, but I like to technically keep things simple. If you make too much of a mess, it'll be exactly that; a mess.

Glad it works for you. I'd be broke spending so much $$ on so many lines. This is one section I got the bait monkey beat.

Gotta agree, thats just severely over complicating things.

Lun...er... Buzz, lemmie tell ya something about 15lb fluorocarbon that I learned the hard way. IT SUCKS!!! Just my opinion though. Here's what I think since we fish similar waters. (F=fluorocarbon, M=monofilament, B=braid, C=copolymer (like Fluoroclear))

Spinnerbaits: 15 lb monofilament --> 10lb F
Jerkbaits: 15 lb fluorocarbon --> 8-10lb M
Buzzbaits: 17 lb monofilament --> 14lb M
PNJ: 15 lb fluorocarbon --> 20lb B
Carolina Rigs: 15 lb fluorocarbon --> 30lb B main line, 12lb F or M leader
Texas Rigs: 15 lb fluorocarbon --> 8-10lb F
Lipless: 20 lb braided -->
Deep Diving: 12 lb monofilament -->
Shallow Diving: 8 lb monofilament -->
Medium Diving: 10 lb monofilament -->
Popper: 15 lb monofilament --> 12lb M
Spook/Sammy: 17 lb monofilament --> 14lb M
Spoon/Underspin: 12 lb monofilament --> ???
Drop-Shot: 12 lb. fluorocarbon --> 8lb C
Shakey Head: 12 lb. fluorocarbon --> 10lb B main line, 6-8lb F leader
