Trolling motor tranducer mount?
what is the best adapter? i bought a hum. 345c pt. and the suction cup won't stay on my boat. i've heard some are made of plastic and break easily. would like to know what everyone else is using. i have a minkota trolling motor if that makes any differance. thanks.

I would either mount it to the trolling motor or epoxy it in the hull of the boat. The second way is only good if you don't need it back out though and if the boat is plastic or fiberglass. On an aluminum boat stick with the TM or bolt it to the transom with one of the break-away mounts.
Should be able to find what you need here: http://store.humminbird.com/category...nting_Hardware What type of boat is it? |

if your current transducer has a mount you can unscrew, maybe look into this:

Is the Minn kota power drive?
Put the puck in a ziploc bag filled with water and move it around the boat to find where it works the best, clean that spot, apply a BIG glob of silicone and push the puck into it so there are no voids. Test and the job is done. Should you ever want to change the transducer no big deal to remove. Capt Mike
