repainting is very pricey where are you thinking of repainting?? it takes differant paint to do the bottom than it does the top cap..

well there is a crack above the rub rail that i would like to have fixed and repainted.

its not cracked though the fiberglass, just the gelcoat to where a little bit of the glitter is exposed.

any idea of what the paint job for the top cap would cost???

Thanks

this top cap paint is about $300 a QUART!! is the top cap-top cap is the part above the rub rail- cloudy or paint faded?? if it is cloudy and faded try 2000 grit wet/dry sand paper on the entire top cap..
i am currantly painting a 20 foot hondo drag boat total cost for just paint $1000.. i really want to take this bad boy fer a spin but if ya think gas is high try nos cause it is 100% bottle fed.

no its not cloudy of faded its just cracked. i figured id have it repaired and then painted over so you cant see the repair.

I do body work but im not familiar with gel coatings. do you think i could do a 2 stage refinish(base coat/clearcoat)?

im not really sure its my first boat.
