The round thing controls the valve for the livewell with a cable to a valve in the bottom of the back of the boat. Empty lets the water drain out and shouldn't let any in when the boat is in the water. Auto basically lets water in but not out so when you run the pumps it will fill up. There is an overflow hole at the top of the tank where the water should drain when it is full. The Recirc closes the valve so water can't come in or out. You need this if you have fish in there and pull out at a ramp so the water doesn't drain out or if you don't want fresh water pumped in.

The main pump takes water from the lake or in the tank (Auto/Recirc) and pumps it into the livewell. The Aux. only pulls in fresh water from the lake. Both switches have Auto and Manual. Auto runs the pumps on a non-adjustable timer and manual just turns them on.
