Default Izorline Platinum

Has anyone used it? A buddy of mine game me a spool because he somehow managed to buy 25lbs test on accident. (i have no clue how he did that) I am considering putting it on one of my swim bait rods, but was curious what you all thought of it.
I tried to google some reviews, but really couldn't find much. Of course, after page one on the search I figured just ask here.

I've used it. I have a buddy that's on their pro staff. It works well. It's probably my 2nd favorite line. If Sufix stopped making line, that's what I'd use. Give it a whirl, you won't be disappointed.

I spooled it on a calcutta 400B which is mounted on an 8 foot swimbait rod. It performed just fine. No serious memory issues with it. The knot (palomar) did not show any signs of slipping nor wear after a couple of 4 lbs fish were landed. I retied anyways since the lure on the end of the line cost more than I want to risk with a bad knot. It will take a few more trips to make a determination, but so far it is okay.

Thanks Freaky. It is a co poly. I had not used one before, so I am not sure to what to compare it. Compared to my 25 and 30 lbs mono it is not too bad.

I picked up a spool from Fishing ProTech last year. Lin recommended the line so I picked up the 15lb green and have used it on a couple rods. Hasn't let me down yet so I continue using it. Can't complain about the price either, 1500 yards for $10. He cut me a slight discount since I put him in touch with a custom rod builder. His normal show price is $14.

I've posted before that I've been using it. You must not be paying attention there Bama. You got a little ADD going on? Or maybe a little OldTimer's?

From their website.....
"IZORLINE PLATINUM CLEAR & GREEN & HI-VIS YELLOW MONOFILAMENT
PREMIUM COPOLYMER MONOFILAMENT-SIMPLY THE BEST!"
So it's got to be true.

It's good tough line and casts well. I use it on baitcasting so I don't know how it does on spinning reels. I haven't had any major problems with it. Also the 15lb comes in 840 yard spools not 1500 like I thought but the 10lb does.

I have found that it is stiffer than most mono lines. I throw suffix on my mono rigs. I do think that it is way more abbrasive resistant than the suffix. Since I am using this for swimbaits, I often have the hooks against the line whie trying to twitch the bait. While this will sometimes nick the mono, the Izorline showed no nicks at all.

I've used it on steelhead, it seems like a good line to me, good knot strength and the high vis is the ticket for side drifting.

Bama, you can get it from Tackle Warehouse. I am very suprised that for how well this line works that it's relatively inexpensive. I've had it spooled on my T rig rod for a month, and it has not shown that much memory. I can still get a weightless senko to cast a mile with it. Usually when I use something like Berkley Big Game or Trilene, I have to change it about once every month or so because it won't perform after a couple days of sitting on the spool.
