Default lures for overcast days?

from my understanding, darker lures for overcast days.is that true? i used white bleeding spinnerbaits the last 2 days and caught some small ones but i really dont have much luck withspinners.big fan of buzzbaits. if its 2 pm is a black buzzbait ideal or would a big black worm (10inch) work better? or maybe something else. any suggestions will be tried. (what bout black/blue jig.not much structure or cover)

The only way to find out if something will work is to throw it. It has been my experience darker colors work better on darker days but there are always exceptions. If I throw a spinnerbait on a cloudy day I use gold or copper blades-had better luck with those blade colors when it is cloudy.

This might not help, most of my spinnerbaits have 1 gold, 1 silver blade. I guess this way I cover both light types. Lately I swear by chartreuse or white, caught majority of fish on these lately. The only difference, I change to bigger blades at sunset and really muddy water.

I would try buzzin, what do you have to lose? Not catching anything. Wrong, I have been shown that buzzbaits will work anytime of day! I saw a guy catch one on a black buzzbait at 12 noon.
