Default Anyone ever try this??

Has anyone ever thought of using a wacky rigged senko on a dropshot rig. I read about this somewhere and im not sure if it would work.

Fishin9, Happy Thanksgiving to you. Drop shot and wacky rig are two different set ups..One Believe one would defeat the others purpose if you were to do it.

River,

A lot of pro's fish a senko wacky style on the dropshot rig. You give it a little twitch and the legs go together. Also there is a lot more action to a senko type bait when fished on a dropshot this way. This is a excellent way to rig a worm on the d shot. I have caught fish when no one else is getting them by wacky rigging on the d shot. Throw it. It will get you some nice ones. Bassdozer has a article on it and try westernbass.com for other dropshot tricks. Also you should try a double rig dropshot esp. in winter. I have got two for one on this before. Both are excellent.

in my last tourny guys were missing 4 lbs and of this rig. cause they obvioulys dont no how to play fish very well. but also if your going to wacky rig a dropshot i noticed and commented that they were useing circle hooks i dont no if those are used as much up north but the way they are designed makes it so the hook doesnt snag nearly as easy. and u also dont set the hook.

For wacky dropshotting use mosiquito hooks by owner they work well. Also might upsize the hook because of balling up of plastic with wacky rigging a possibility.

me too! the only thing that it tells me is not that it doesn't work, but just that it didn't work that time.

I've d-shotted with a baby brush hawg and within 5 seconds 5 big bass came out from under the dock and surrounded it as if they were knights of the round table. They looked at it for what seemed an eternity but nothing I did to the lure (both action and inaction) was sufficient to trigger a strike. I guess they didn't get to be their size by being dumb.

Wow, that had to be exciting at first. Bet the brush hog was crapping itself.
