Default T-Storms rolling.....again

Yep, they're rolling through again tonight. Started around 5 PM and theyre still going. Supposed to be over at 8:15 tonight. It's now after that. Last night they went on until after 11PM.
This evening as I was leaving Borders I sat in my car as I watched a low line of clouds begin to circulate. I thought to myself that usually means that it could turn into a tornado . It then began to hail and my car was pelted by dime to quarter sized ice cubes and I thought to myself this means that there probably is a tornado or very strong chances of one.
So I headed home but the monkey hit me and I had to stop by Gander Mt to pick up some GP chigger craws and Paca craws . Priorities!!!! As I was there I had to pick up a foldable chair and then I saw it. 20% off Smokehouse products. Yep that $180 smoker was $36 cheaper and getting a ride back to my house!
So now I sit typing at the computer because the TV is out and I don't feel like reading the newest Baldacci book I picked up earlier. Maybe I'll just sit and watch the lightning. Kind of like an early 4th of July!

First Family. I've read all of his. I think. He does a great job of using real places in VA, MD, and DC in his books.

I'd love to see some flops on Full Tilt but I lose my connection all the time.

Stay safe up there.

You should visit C. Florida in the summer. We usually get some decent T-Storms everyday in the afternoon. That's why they call us the lightning capital of the world.

We had some strange and unusual T-storms in So. CA yesterday. 6 people were actually hit by lighting with one dying. That almost never happens.

The same storm killed a 13 year old yesterday a few miles from my house. He was playing baseball and the game was called by the ump. People left for their cars and his parents allowed him to get a little more practice in.

****** Let me give everyone a piece of advice*******
People die when they get hit by lightning. If you can see lightning or hear thunder then leave the field. Especially if it has metal fences around it!!!

As an athletic trainer I spend a lot of time outdoors working sporting events. Parents and coaches can be idiots when it comes to clearing fields when storms are approaching. Don't let your children continue to play if a storm is coming. Remove them from the field. Even if the coach or official won't stop the game. That extra 5 minutes isn't that important.
