Depends on the water youre fishing. Theres more than just color for spinnerbaits. You also have a multitude of blades and combinations of blades to choose from. The blades are very important in your choices. For starters I use white or chartreuse for daytime fishing. My main "GO TO" spinnerbaits are the Strike King bleeding bait series in 1/2 oz or 3/8 oz depending. I also have black, blue, brown, red etc. for different conditions. Choice of blades varies on weather, water clarity, depth, over cast or sunny conditions. The conditions vary from day to day as well as lake to lake. The best thing buy some cheaper spinnerbaits w/ a variety of blades. Start using them and see which ones produce in the conditions you fish. Im sure the others will agree, disagree or offer their own personal insight on this subject. Also, look back in past posts, there are hundreds of threads about spinnerbaits .

White, chartreuse and white, chartreuse, and from what I understand gold is a great color in Fla. When it is sunny I use silver blades, gold/silver in partly cloudy conditions and copper/gold in cloudy.

I just caught a bass on a white one but then I caught a bowfin but could not get the hook out of his mouth because he would not open his mouth so i had to cut the line so I lost the spinnnerbait.

I have had some success with black and gold, and brown and red.....but like the others, I'd have to say, most of my catch's come on silver or white and or a mixture of chartruse and white. I do most of my spinner bait fishin in stained water (green water) when using the lighter colors....I use the darker colors in lightly stained to fairly clear water.
