Grubs for Largemouth anyone

I am going to try some 4" and 5" curl tail grubs and see if they like them, I have caught some decent largemouth on white 4" - 5" grubs years ago anyone else use or used them with any luck?

I use 4 inch curly tail grubs as a trailer all the time on my spinnerbaits. I have great success with them. Also, they work well with a jig as a trailer too.

I was using them a lot this spring and the bass found them very attractive. They were 4" white Mr. Twisters (a couple of other colors too) on a jighead with a jig spinner attached. A very inexpensive and very effective lure.

My buddy used to kick some butt with grubs. He would just cast them and reel them in very slowly. He didn't jig them or anything liek I probably would.

I tell you though, he killed the fish with 'em.

my buddy landed a 24" large mouth with a yellow curly tail grub about a month ago

I've been using the Mogambo Grubs from Katlin this year with good sucess. They are 6" and I've also got there 10" grub but can't find a hook big enough for it lol

I have had luck with them as a kid, I still use them on hairtail jigs for striper. Its my little secret.. The huge grub tail seems to make a difference just reel it in slow no jigging at all.

I've had a lot of luck this year on 2-4" neon chartreuse curly tailed grubs. I've caught some of this years best bass on 'em. They really seem to work best when nothing else does lol.

yesterday my cousin caught a 14" smallmouth on the same yellow grub my buddy used to catch the other 24" one i told you about. 3" curly tail yellow grub

I use grubs on all my spinnerbaits and buzzbaits,give the bait a little more flash for the fish and plus it slows the baits down a little.+ a little added weight.I use white,Chartruse and black mostly. Denny

4''-5'' grubs make great trailers but also work great on a weighted hook. If you just reel in slowly and steadily and just let the tail do the work, something should happen.

I agree with that, many guys over look how versatile a grub is. Its easy to throw all day, you can have a variety of weighted jig heads for small to long grubs, and they will go any depth you let it sink too. I've seen many a guy that will search and search for a plug that goes past 15 ft, when a grub will easily sink to that depth.
I like the two and 3 inch grubs for about any fish, and the 4-5 inch grubs alot of times are a bigger round body, but a lot of tail, great for texas rigging, jig and trailer applications too.
I go with Kalin grubs most of the time but used Mr. Twisters for 10 years and still cound on the 2 or 3 inch mr twister in chartruse or white for walleye and smallmouth

All the smallmouth bass I've ever caught have been with grubs. I never jig them or hop them, always swim them very slowly back to the boat.

Just remember a grub will work when all else fails, just expierment on color, they have'nt failed me for a long time now. Just remember
