Tell them to give you the good pain meds and have them ready for when you wake up. I had back surgery 3 months ago. I guess because I'm only 25 they assumed it wouldnt hurt me so much or something. I threatened to hit everyone who got close to me with anything other than pain meds in their hand.

My thoughts and prayers will be with you buddy. I know I have to have one knee done in the not too distant future. I can't imagine both at once. I've always heard the same thing from others who have had it done. The first few days your asking, what the hell did I do. But after a few days your saying, why didnt I do this a long time ago. You'll be out there using that new Minn Kota soon. Best wishes my friend.

Good wishes on your appointment Monday!
It's no fun right now but it will be in the not to distant future!
Only input I have is that once you feel your pain allows recovery to start..A bike is a great great way to get the best mobility and getting things back in shape. Stationary or outdoors, wheather permitting. No weight stress. Work your own pace. Works the small tendens and muscles well (this is really important IMO). Worked well for me.
Remember I'm not a doctor and this is only my input but I've accumulated a few new parts. Got knee, ankle, hip and a few other parts replaced, all seperate surgries.
Unless I told you, you would think I had all original parts. No limp, no pain (now).
Again well wishes on your day!
Tell you what...I'll even light a candle for you in the morning.
