Thats some pretty good setups usually people have about 2-3 spinning setups and 2-3 baitcasting setups but what you got there is great for what your usin only reason to have another would be if u have the money or you just want another setup that you like. Like me i only use one setup a 6'6" medium action with a baitcaster and 17lb test and i use it for evreything.

I think what you have is fine, skeeter. Like 454ss said you might want to get something else but you don't need anything else. ( of course I don't need anything else but that doesn't stop me from getting other stuff ) You might want to think about an ultra light setup, if you have a use for one. I fish afoot ever since my boat was stolen and wrecked, so every now and than I use an ul in some of the small ponds and rivers near where I live.

Start looking at some longer ods up to 7 feet. They can make a big difference on hookset, and casting distances. Star buying rod/reels for technique specific use. And you'll also find out that some rods work well with different techniques.

I believe it is hard for you to understand AGE, so let me tell you somrthing: "我过的桥比你走的路都多!" I doubt you can read and understand it, but someone surely can read it here! Let me translate it to your language: " The birdges I've passed were longer than the road you have walked! " BTW, I think the past tense of try is tried, not tryed. any way, how old r u? That leads me to ask this myself... Can anyone recommend a rod/reel set-up?? and how much am i looking to spend? I am a struggling college student with limited funds, so something nice, inexpensive, but still reliable would be nice.. I am thinking about getting a new one, but not too sure on brands, height, ect... I too fish everything (kingfish, catfish, smelts, ect...) and would like to use it for everything, but am looking to get more into fishin for bass (large & small mouth)... Thanx !!!
