off the water because of gas prices.I'm so Glad I have a 25 horse motor on my
boat, people have kinda made remarks that it was too small.......but who's laffing
now.My friend at work is selling his Ranger boat now because of the gas.......

I was looking for a new ride, will probably hold off for a little while. My 50 Rude is great, 15 gallon tank and I can usually get 3-4 trips at the Stick Marsh out of it.

i agree with hose holder $20 bucks in gas and i can fish for 2 days..

the club i am in changed a tourny to a local one as it would cost about $150+ just to haul the boat to the lake..

Now that I got some boat storage lined up in t-town, I will have my boat while at school for the first time ever so I plan on doing tons of fishing. 25 horse mariner is great on the gas too, the only problem is its a bout a 12 mile drive to the lake - not bad but it uses some gas. I worked all summer though and have a cool grand to blow on fishing beer and football so I should still be fine.

Actually zooker I upgraded to the 6.9hp wheezer last year when the onion city bassmasters had a yard sale. Wish I hadnt though cause the gas consumtion keeps me from buying more VCR's of old godziller movies.

I usually got gas most of the time, but what fisherman ain't got gas ? I think its caused from those 2-3 year old snack cakes I got in the tackle pack.I am about out of them now, When did moon pies change to a green marshmallow filling instead of the white ? Dang, I hadn't noticed they switched until today when I pulled a smushed one out of the bottom of the tackle bag.It might have been one of those Saint Patricks day limited edition Moon Pies or something ?One of those and a few rootbeers and you got some serious gas, gets worse when sardines in Louisiana hot sauce is added to the mix.
