Default Weekly Lake Fork Fishing Report

Well, the wind has been a factor for the last three weeks. It has blown 25 MPH everyday. MERCY this is driving us crazy. The fish are making a move to the banks again and are getting ready to spawn. The males are guarding fry and new males are moving up to get ready for the next wave. The best baits have been Top water, Flukes, Wave Tiki Sticks, Lake Fork Tackle ring fries, and one minus crank baits.
The top water have been worked slowly then pause and let sit then slowly move it again. The weightless baits have been worked slowly, Let the fish swim off with the bait and then set the hook. Work the one minus around stumps and standing timber and submerged grass.
The crappie are back in the shallow water and are hitting jigs and minnows along with spinner baits, This is a good time to get out and put a small cork and pitch around the stumps to catch your limit of good eating fish.
I still have some May dates so give me a call.
