Default Rain gear

I'm looking to buy a light weight waterproof jacket and pant combo and was hoping for suggestions. I don't want to break the bank but I don't want PVC either. Somewhere in the middle price wise and light enough to pack away would be perfect. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!

Frogg toggs. I would suggest buying the bibs instead of the pants because your backside will get wet while sitting as you are running down the lake.I have had my set for a few years, they take alot of abuse for as light as they are.I hope this helps. P N J

Forgot to mention to get the stuff sack-it allows you to store them in a neat package about the size of a football that will store real easy and protect your investment.

Zooker, I use them more for a wind breaker than rain gear, I got a size bigger to layer underneath and when it really gets nasty, I break out the Carhartt Artic bibs, but I am surprised how well the Frogg Toggs held up.I did split the pants out last weekend climbing out of the boat. I was going to Duct tape them , but the wife says no, I'm not going to run around with duct tape on the crotch of my pants. I bet I could get another three years out of them if she would let me. PnJ, try contacting the manufacturer-they might be able to help you out.

Haven't tried the frog togs yet. I picked up a set of the BPS gear-wish I would have gotten bibs though. They get a little hot in Fl, but they do work pretty good. I think I hit the bank for about $50. for them.

I bet I have owned 30+ rain suits, and everyone of them I split out the crotch walking around in the boat and stepping up to the flipping deck,
back to the console, and then the motor... The jackets all hold up fine, but I've never found a pair of pants yet that would hold up with coveralls and other cold clothes on underneath..
