done with another lure, who wants it?
here it is, my first shad lure. its smoother than what the pic shows tho. anyways, ill give it to the first person who asks for it, and iall id ask is for honest feedback. however, i cant send it until i do bassintxladys. first one got the epoxy bubbles, second one had the scre eye mis angled, and the third one dove like an inch. i have it carved and the lip is in. ill paint it tomorrow. i have 5 other forms ready to paint, ill send em out after theyre done. any comments on this one? |

get ya about 4 one inch chicken feathers and tie them on to the back treble hooks cranky

Your local pet shop might have parrot feathers, make sure you don't get bit by them though.Jb how many lure tails could you tie from a Down sleeping bag ? P N J

hey i definetely have a down sleeping bag that i dont use ebcause its too small! thanks for the idea!
and i dont know, my mom probably wouldnt take me to the petshop for feathers. i can check my old birdcage, my parakeet died about a month ago. |

Doc, That is probably just as well, I suspect once you start yanking on its tail feathers, that bird is gonna cause trouble and most likely would end your lure making career before it really got started. P N J

lol pnj i think ill get my feathers the safe way. i can get more feathers from the craft store than the pet shop, or maybe even art class.

my neighbors dad hunts, but he asnt shota nything in ages. maybe ill grab some off their mount. he also has a dog, so im wondering if thatd work too. he has a golden retriever, and my other friend has a black labraor

You can get deer hair from tackle shop that deals with fly tying. I use Elk hair on my hair jigs I use for smallies.
