Default Telescoping rods.

I've got three 7 1/2 ft. Falcon flipping sticks. They telescope down to 5 1/2 ft for storage? Anyone else use or has used telescoping rods? Do you think they're less sensitive than non-telescoping rods or does it make a difference?

When one of your boat's rod lockers is 7' and stuffed to the top, and the other is only 6'6", those telescoping rods are nice, lol.

I've got one that my dad built for my flipping stick that I've been using recently as a swimbait rod. It was built on an inexpensive blank and isn't the most sensitive rod to begin with. Personally, I don't think it makes that much of a difference if it is a good, quality rod.

What series are the Falcon rods? If they're Cara or Expert, then I wouldn't worry about a diference in sensitivity. If they're LowRider, it may effect it a little, but probably not enough to make much of a difference.

I have two different Castaway rods that telescope. One 7'6", one 6'10". No issues.

Very slightly less sensitive.

Two are Original series and one is a Cara. One of the Originals is probably 15 years old or so. I can't really tell any difference in sensitivity between the three. The main difference is the weight. I just ordered a new Cara to replace the old war horse. I've developed tennis elbow from pitching so much and I think those old heavy Originals may have contributed to my elbow problem.

I agree with you guys. I don't think the telescoping rods are less sensitive than the one piece rods but I wanted to see what others think.
