Jig Rattles

I've been swimming a jig lately, and I think the rattles help in this muddy water and thick grass. I have been using a Strike King Denny Brauer Pro-Model jig, and the rattles aren't double barrel rattles, they are little metal beads in a black box on the back of the hook. The box seems to either fall out or open easily. I lost four rattles on four jigs today.

What would you do to prevent the rattles from falling off? Do you know of any rattles I can buy? I saw the barrel rattles but not the beads.

Joolz, if it is not holding the skirt on you can switch to the double barrels or superglue the rattle on. Gluing it won't hurt the rattle.

You can get rattles most places that sell tackle-I've even seen them at WalMart.

You can always get the glass bead rattles and insert them in the plastics that
serve as the trailer on your jig to, that way when the plastic moves the rattles go back and forth with the action you provide.

I prefer the rattle collars myself. I you would like I can send you a few to try out. I'll even make you whatever skirt you would like.
