Got legal today........with the state
Went ahead and got my ohio license, tried to get indiana out of state and I guess wallyworld quit selling them, but thats no biggie, the border is only 10 minutes away and I can get them at the wally world over there.
Also bite the big one, let the monkey-o-bait talk me into the #10X-Rap, silver, a decent looking splash bait with red under the throat... Anyone notice any dif. from the x-rap to stick baits or jerkbaits? I know its going to give the Rattling Rogue a run for the money, but just looking at it reminds me of my Bagely stick baits...what kinda action do ya notice? Heres a xray of the BB placements |

Best slashing motion I've seen, I would call it a slash bait rather than a jerkbait. I'm telling ya, it's awesome.

My first day i got it i headed out to the lake and didn't catch nothin for the first few min. until i noticed bass boiling in the middle of the lake. So i went for them making long casts to the middle second cast 2lber 10th cast 4lber then i went for a wile without catchin nothin but it was worth the wait the next fish was a giant over 8lbs. In my opinion it is the best reaction baits (due to its hard slashing action) i have ever used (next to a rattle trap).

Heah JB the computer guru. Why don't you just order you Out of State License off the net? That's how I do almost all of mine nowadays.

lizards,
Its the lure of the bait monkey, see, the more I have to search for licenses at other states wallmarts, I am being "forced to purchase other trinkets of bass fishing bootie" while I wait for the clerk to scan my drivers license for info...thats how I ended up with the xrap....besides the states DNR people in ind, ky, and other states i fish are boring........lol The bait monkey is always pointing out stuff I have over looked, then teaches me how to actually make it fit inside my already overloaded tacklebox |

One thing I noticed about the x-rap is that it has REALLY good swimming motion..not like a jerkbait in that regard. It has a really soft, yet wide wave to it..like a fish really swims. When slashed and jerked, it looks wonderful in the water. I was using the gold(I think thats the color) color the other day and wow, the flash looked just like a real fishes flash.
I used both a swimming retrieve and a jerking retrieve and both looked great in the water..even if I got no takers that day. |

JB, I too prefer to purchase my out-of-state license directly from a dealer. The bait monkey told me not to trust the internet and that I shold drive to NJ to purchase my license. So I listened, bought my license, a trout stamp, and some "trinkets".
