I am an IT manager with a staff of 20 who do nothing but answer IT trouble tickets all day. This video is now part of the monthly training.

I run a small IT dept myself cassidyta.
Ill share a funny story with you. I had a user call me one day (she has been employeed and using our system for at least 5 years) and say there was someting locking up her screen, messing her up every time she tried to enter anything with the keyboard. So I shadowed her and took a look at her desktop. She was allready logged into windows and was logging onto our AS400 mainframe. on her screen was the username and password field. After looking at her screen, I couldn't find anything out of the ordinary so I asked her to please sign in and show me what the problem was. When she started typing she said "see there it is, right in front of the letters I type. That little blinking thing, do you see it? Now watch this" and she proceeds to navigate thru our system and on every menu option she would proclaim "do you see it, right there, it is there right in front of whatever I type, and no matter what menu I go to there it is following me around and messing me up". I could stand it no longer, I said do you mean the CURSOR? I got a puzzled huh, whats that, is it that little blinking square? I tried to explain to her that that has been there for years but she would have none of it. I ended up changing her blinking box cursor to a blinking line cursor and she proclaimed " there you fixed it, I can work now. I dont know what you did but I told you there was something wrong". I promptly said your welcome and hung up the phone in utter disbelief. |

I have about 13,000 customers all military. I had two dell latitude laptops returned to me as being defective. One had tire tracks on it, one had a hole from what I assume to be a 9MM, and the third had the LCD frozen from from riding against the cooling pipes inside a C-130.
I laugh constantly, but without the customers I guess I would be asking "Do you want fries with that"
