Boat won't shut off
On the glass port that I posted that I redone it starts great but it won't shut off. I replaced the key switch and that didn't help. Could anyone tell me what I need to check.
Thanks Earl |

Wiring is wrong on it,check with a volt ohm meter, its wiring to a wrong post, most likly since it was replaced.
Did it do it prior to replacement if so was wrong and you just repeated the mistake. |

I think I will let the boat mechanic do that. I don't want to mess it up.

I had a 210v glassport that came out of journey auto sales,Berea Ky,not a bad boat overall but chine walked badly at exactly 63mph,never did get rid of it all.
Strangely have had two boats from them the other a Phantom,I used to live in Huntington,W.Va. If you did the the replacement explain it to them, shouldnt be but two wires in wrong places. In effect key switch is on when off as on wrong poles.Start is apparently correct. Even if not that its minor, and shouldnt take much shop time. |

OK I got the wiring diagram for the key switch and it was wired up right. I was told that the CDI box is either wired wrong or the CDI box is bad. I know when I turn the key to the off position and it sounds like one side of the motor is runing and the other side is shut down. What everyones thought.
