Default pointer sp question

I've got three of these baits. I do fish rogues quite a bit both suspending and floating. I've yet to get a bump on the pointers. Not even sure which pointers they are. One is a small one about 3" long with two trebles it's is ghost minnow. The other two are about 4" to 5" long also with two trebles, one in aurora gold, the other is chartreuse shad. Are these suppose to be fished like a jerk bait? If i recall, they are all suppose to suspend but don't I think one slowly sinks and the others slowly rise. What has been the most productive retrieve for these baits for the rest of you? I've yet to find a method of fishing these baits that seems "correct".

smaller one it is probly a 78 the bigger ones are more than likly 95's as they only have 2 trebles. i have found that small twitches work best think light jerk bait move ment i also have caught fish buy slow steady reeling. they all have a set of letter's on them sp,ss,cant rember the last one..

Thanks zook. Hope your next tourney isn't so cold, at least as cold for you as it is for the other anglers.

The ones with three hooks are the 97's. Try an American Shad, a Ghost color, and an Aurora Black.

K,I'll pick up one in the american shad or aurora black. Have gotthe smallest one in ghost shad. The chartreuse Shad is similar enough to the ghost shad, and have that in the next size larger. Both probably work better in the ultra-clear lakes then ones with only 6 to 8 ft. visibility.

The problem may be the water temperature. Lucky Craft jerkbaits tend to sink when the water is under 50 degrees. Also, make sure that all of the lures say SP on the bottom or they are floating baits.
