Default Birds nest, not on your reel

Just wanted to pass this along, hopefully it will save someone a headache.
Although I've had my boat out 10+ times this year I have removed two birdsnest from it this year. I keep my boat underneath a carport and covered. The first one was in the airtake on top of the motor which would have wound up somewhere else once I hit the water. I now stuff a towel there to stop this from happening again. The second was just at the back of the transom and would not have created a problem. I had a costly experience with this a few years back. I have a 82 model 4x4 which was my dad's which I restored to pass along to my sons when they start driving. Lot of memories associated with this truck. Any way this truck is used to get jon boat, kayaks to places a regular vehicle won't go, winch used a lot to pull boat up steep banks, river fishing. Vehicle not used a lot, 8 miles to the gallon on a good day. Had not used truck in a while and headed to the Cahaba River and about halfway a birds nest sitting on top of the manifold caught fire and burnt most all of the wiring any where close. What a bad day. Now its time to pass this truck to my oldest, complete with a jon boat and trolling motor in bed of this truck. I guess I'm rambling, but I always check for birds nest around my motors now on my recreational toys, the last nest on the boat was there in less than two days.
