Default Time Warp?

"All times are GMT -4. The time now is 07:18 PM."
My local time is 6:18 EST nobody lives east of me...how can I see posts with a time an hour ahead of me 7:18?
Am I missing something obvious? a senior moment?

Perplexed

No seriously.......I've noticed the time warp for a long time but never gave it much thought. GMT-4 should mean everybody west of me would be gradually earlier. If there is an obvious/simple answer I'm

Bryce are you on EST?

I JUST pasted this.......
All times are GMT -5. The time now is 06:39 PM.

I'm really uneasy about thisSomebody please calm me down!

Go to "User CP" and edit your time zone.

Dang..........I thought we had a winner but................I checked my cp and it was set to EST.....GMT-5
When I posted the OP and pasted the time stamp from the bottom of the page it said (as you can see) GMT-4
Just a few minutes later I looked again and it said GMT-5

Maybe my settings are correct and what I'm seeing as a "warp" is just other posters whose cp is wrong making it look like they're posting in the "future"??? At least that's what I'm telling myself for now so that I can get to sleep.

I too have noticed a strange time warp. I am in CT zone. Haven't been in to check what time zone I have marked but will do so asap. And KDS, if this is all you have to get worked up about, I sure would like to walk in your shoes for a while!
