Default They Will Come Back For More

A few years ago, my son Cory and I were bass fishing in a small pond. I think he was around 8 years old. We were worming and really catching alot. We were in an old leaky jon boat with a wore out trolling motor, but having a blast. Cory hooked a big one, but lost him right at the boat when the line broke. I rigged him back up, and a few casts later, he hooked another big one. This time we got him in the boat. There was alot of fish to clean so we decided to head home. For some reason I decided to show Cory how to tell what the bass had been feeding on. I grabbed the biggest fish (3lbs), the one Cory had caught and cut it open. Inside this fish's stomach was the worm, hook and bullet weight. We could not believe it.
Cory had actually caught this fish twice! Have any of ya'll had any thing like this happen to you?

My son and I both hooked the same fish at the same time once. It gupled down his worm than swam about 5 feet over and got mine before he could set the hook. So we both caught it. He was about 10 and we still laugh about it. I once broke a fish off and went back in the morning and caught her with my 4 in liz. hanging out of her mouth and about 10yds of line still attached. Those little bucks are hard headed.

It has happened to me, perhaps a half dozen times over the years.
What really has never failed to amaze me is when ONE bass gets hooked on both my and my partner's lure. That has happened perhaps three or four times as well.
I suppose that, if the lures are being retrieved close enough and the bass doesn't yet realize the first one he's nabbed is a fake, he might espy the second lure and think "Oh boy! Twofers!".
BTW, all of these occurences involved soft plastics.

You never know what might happen when you are fishing. A few years ago I caught two fish at the same time on a crankbait.

It happened at least once I can think of. Not real common, but it does happen.

Never happened with me catching bass before but I did catch the same walleye within a half hour once. I knew I had caught it because it had the hook and yellow line that it had just broke off.

me and some other guy were fishing a rockpile on a manmade point for fishing and whatnot and we both hooked into the same catfish Oh not to me and a friend were diving with gigs one day and he hooked a catfish big enough to drag him off to deeper water till the fishing line on his gig broke (just an old fishing rod that snapped with a 5/0 gammy hook tied on 15lbtest) later that day i went to fish off said point when i saw a guy weighing a 25lb catfish with the same 5/0 gammy stuck under his chin chances of it being from another fisherman or being another fish are really slim not many catfish that size around here

I can't say as far as what is in their stomach's since I dont keep any, but I have caught several bass that have had worms, tubes, and other plastics half way down their throat. I even caught one once with a treble hook still on his/her upper lip......

Last year while fishing on Kentucky Lake, I caught a smallmouth that coughed up a couple of plastic baits. A lizard and a senko type bait. I had caught him on a plastic worm. I wish that I had a camera for that one.

Default caught my own stringer

When I was about 12 I was trout fishing( and pan fishing) on a small lake with my dad and cousins out of canoes. We accidentally dropped a stringer of keepers in the lake, the middle as i recall, and watched it sink, swim, out of sight... Honest to god the next day fishing in relatively the same area my uncle snagged the stringer completely by accident and reeled it in....still with our catch on it!!! The kicker is what we didn't eat that night got eaten by a black bear who stole our cooler from our camapsite and beat the hell out of it til it broke!

I got on some schooling bass once at Toledo Bend. I was casting a tiny torpedo and getting strikes on about every cast. When I woud hook one and reel it in, there woud be other bass chasing it. It looked like they were trying to take the bait from him. The same day, I caught 2 on one cast, and also caught a couple in the tail. Now that was a great day!
