Hope it shows up on youtube as I'd like to see what he did. Whats he so upset about? I've never met him and so won't make a judgment about him other than to say he kinda rubs me the wrong way.

I agree, it's just when ever he'll get a hit and he'll miss it he will through a hissy fit. Through his rod down and cuss. Unlike KVD he's very calmn and get's it done. But your right I shouldn't judge him without meeting him, but he does also rub on me the wrong way.

Had to be there to realize how hot and miserable it was during both those tournament weekends. I was there and by noon both days of the AL River tourny I was dehydrated even after drinking 18 small Gatorade's, (9 each day). Fishing was much tougher than the cameras show. Remember it's hours of fishing for those 4 or 5 shots they show for each angler.

I did some cussing just for the heat when the wind was idle during the day's.

Yeah Skeet had a melt down that is for sure. But you have to remember this guy is not only fishing for a check that is bigger than most people make in a year, he also feels the strain of the 800lb gorilla running him down for Angler Of The Year. At that point every bite mattered more than at any other point in the season, partially because of the circumstances with the AOY race but more so because of the weather having the bite shut down for the most part. And at that point for some reason the fishing gods turned against Skeet and he went into a tail spin, and it was really through no fault of his own. I mean if you watch his mechanics when he sets the hook and fights the fish he really doesn't do anything wrong they just came off, we have all had moments like that. I'm not saying that cussing and throwing rods is the answer to turning your day around but with all that weighing on his shoulders a lot of folks would have handled it worse. One of my tourney partners was a Marshall this summer for the Sooner Run on Ft. Gibson and he was paired with Skeet for two days in a row. Before that weekend I would tend to agree with him rubbing people the wrong way but knowing what I know now, I honestly believe that he is a good guy.

I have met Skeet in person during a seminar at a local shop... he is a nice guy in person and really funny too. I'm sure he has tough days on the water just like we all have had. And when you're fishing at the highest level of fishing there is, it has to be a terrible feeling of everything slipping away, especially with the season that Skeet had.
