That is a really neat story... but stupid. Juvenile rattlesnakes are the most dangerouse ones as they cannot effectively meter their venom and usually dose you with all they got.. and out on a kayak in TX is not where you wanna get bit... so lets purposely put this thing in the footwell...

im glad it worked out for him, but jeez...

with that aside... this makes you wanna buy more snake imitating soft plastics...

He had it under control...He whacked it with the paddle first....Its kinda like riding Alligators in Florida...If you tickle em under the tail first they wont bite you

It is a neat story though.....Rigging wildlife to catch bass.

many,many, many years ago, there was a story about a young boy who "found" a bunch of "worms". they were actually a nest of baby rattlers. anyway, he "fished" them, they found his body lying next to the nest of "worms" dead. please teach your kids the difference.

bassinbob, thak you for reminding me of the mag where i read it. my father used ot get outdoor life. that is where i read it, pop MADE me and my brother read it.
