Daiwa Megaforce Plus Casting Reel
So I've been looking for a new reel recently and I found the Daiwa Megaforce Plus. I went to academy and looked it at and some others and saw that it has a "twitchin bar". I'm curious to find out what yall know about that or anything else about the reel. Thanks!

I've never used the Plus version but did buy the cheaper Megaforce a couple of years ago. I thought the twitchin bar was a cool idea at first but found I didn't really use it since I normally lke to always have my crankin hand on the crank. I just wasn't comfortable with. Then after about two months of use the bar started to hang up so I disabled it. I used it for about another year just fine but now it keeps making horrible noise and locking up so its been retired.
I'm sure there are those who like the feature though and I assume the "plus" version is much better made. |

The reel looks overpriced.. not a ton of difference between it and the regular Megaforce (minus the Twitchin' Bar). You can get a quality reel in the Daiwa Viento (has the Twitchin" bar) for roughly $110 at Tackle Warehouse..

I agree with BWC about the Viento. Great deal right now. If I needed another reel, I'd get another one at that price.
