Kistler magnesium
Anyone get one of these yet? I am going to get the TS Magnesium 7ft. frog rod. Right now I am using a St. Croix premiere 7 ft. heavy. While the St Croix works fine I like the lightness of the Kistler. Last year on the lake where my cabin is i spent quite a few days using frogs all day. The lightness of the Kistler will save my arm. Thanks
Bob

Bob, I personally would not buy a high end rod for frogging. The reasons being, they are easier to break than a run of the mill blank and you don't need the sensitivity for frog fishing, unless I am fishing them wrong. The rod & line needs to be strong, is all,I use 50 lb braid & a flipping stick for the added length. When the bass blows up on the frog all is required is to let them pull it down before setting the hook on them.If I were to buy a multi hundred dollar rod, I would buy one for worm fishing, where you need the sensitivity to feel the softer bites.Whatever you decide is fine with me though, I just thought I would add my 2 cents since no one else commented on it.
