Default Got a new truck

Well with the lack of room for Lake in the back seat of the extended cab Titan, and the horrible gas milage (average of 14 mpg) it was time to do something. I hated to give up the Titan because it was a pleasure to drive and had a ton of power. However this new truck is unbelievable! It puts out 50 more horse power than the Titan (365 hp), and has more torque than anyones V8, oh and did I mention that it does all of this with a turbo charged V6 that not only has a towing capacity of 11,300lbs and gets 20+ mpg? This thing will flat out pull anything you could ever want to pull and not even break a sweat. I have drove several big V8's and I have yet to drive one that could hold a candle to the new Ford Ecoboost. For any doubters I ask that you please watch these videos and see the pure hell they put this truck through during their torture test, it's more punishment than anyone could put this thing through in a lifetime of use http://www.ford.com/trucks/f150/experiencef150/ . We had a heck of a time getting one in with the package that we wanted and in the color I wanted (had to have it match the Triton lol). We were very close to ordering one when our dealership finally was able to work out a trade with another dealership that had it on it's lot. She had less than 10 miles on it when the dealership picked her up and after being mine for 2 days she is up to 160 miles and is averaging over 20 mpg, and that is not with me babying her although there isn't much hot rodding in that mileage either. We got the chrome package as well as the off road package and she came loaded with just about every option I could dream of including sync so I can talk on my phone through my speakers, power sliding rear glass, sirius satellite radio, and much much more. I am here to tell you guys not because I have one but because this is the Gods honest truth, this motor is a flat out power house and is the real deal. We were at my grandparents tonight eating dinner and I puller her out into the pasture to take some pics. There are a few things that I will do in the future but the very first thing is getting the front windows tinted to match the back ones, I was supposed to get it done today but the shop was busy.

Nice truck, Kory. When you texted me the other day, I didn't know it was the EcoBoost. I've heard lots of good things about that engine, though. Good to know it lives up to its reputation.

Congrats, Kory...though I refuse to buy anything with a leaf incorporated into the design on principle alone.

What'd she run you?

Yeah I planned on sending you a lot more pictures but time just slipped away from me and I ran out of daylight.

LOL...vehicles suck, don't they?

(Says the guy with a fancy truck, boat, and looking to buy a 60's muscle car )

I have always believed Ford to be the best engineered cars of the Big 3. This one's got to be right up there. A little expensive, but a wonder of technology to be sure. I have to ask what rear gear you got and if you got a limited slip.

3.73 gears and yes on the limited slip, it also has the trailer sway control.

One thing I am going to kinda miss is the rumble of the V8 with my Flowmasters. Every V8 I have owned has had true duals and I just love that sound. However the sound of the turbo chargers whistling as they spool up is a very cool sound that I enjoy listening too.

Very nice truck! I'd love to have one of the new F-150s for the gas mileage as much as anything. My '06 only gets about 16 on a good day and I have a long drive to work everyday so it adds up pretty fast.

Great looking truck Kory!

Are you going to add a 2-3" lift on the front?

I really haven't decided yet. It's tempting but I love the truck as is too.
