Old Hickory and Tims Ford
Old Hickory 8-31-2006 What a day on Old Hickory Lake today with Mr. Benny Dotson. Benny is holding our three largest fish that we caught today, and if you talk to him ask him how big was the one that jumped and spit out the bait at the boat. We lost a fish much larger than the ones you see above...it looked like he could have swallowed a basketball......All in all we caught and released 25 Largemouth with several not shown that was keeper size fish. We caught in the creeks and on the main channel. All of our fish were caught on crank baits-Prowler Soft Shad and Finesse worms www.prowlerlures.com . Rick McFerrin www.tennesseebassguides.com Tim's Ford 8-29-2006 I spent the day on Tims Ford with Mr. Gary Lafayette
This was our first trip together butwe are already planning the second one for later this year. Water temperature on Tim's is still 85 degrees and I had my fingers crossed that we would have some cloud cover-rain and wind for the day. Well part of my wish came true, we had an on again off again cloud cover and some wind throughout the day. I was joking with Gary and said I bet it won't rain until we have the boat on the trailer...guess what happened? You got it we pulled out and 5 minutes later here came the rain....We had 5 on top water right off the bat this morning then 1 on a Prowler Finesses Worm and jig head and the remaining 9 on a 15 plus crank bait. The top water fish would nail it but the crank bait fish just held on....all and all not to bad for day time Tim's this time of the year. Gary I look forward to our next trip......Rick McFerrin www.tennesseebassguides.com |
