Man, it's come down to going to the ER to keep Lisa from out fishin him.

I wouldn't worry about fishing in his boat too much. When he's at the bow, he does more messin with the troller than he does fishing! (I'm guilty of that as well, lol)

At least it didn't look too bad from the pics. Which I'll post from my phone if he wants me to.

This is starting to sound like and old Harry n Charley story, lol. I can't wait to hear the "story" about how this happened.

Louann laughed at him when I showed her the pic he texted to me. Can't say I blame her...she's been there, done that, in the same boat...

Who wants a pic?

HAHAHAHAHA GANG. I am back from the hospital and all is well. Only lost 2 knuckles form the incindent. LOL! Yes it was a small bass that caused this self-hooking. Seems he didn't like me calling him a dink, haha. I was trying to lip him, hold my rod and get my phone to get a pic, when he decided to make a last ditch effort to free hisself. Or maybe he was mad at me and thought we BOTH should share the same set of trebles. We did for about 2 minutes. But i am fine and we are laughing our arses off about it. Gotta tell ya, those needles hurt worse than the hook did.

Now zooker. post the pic of the fish or whoever has it. I'll send them to everyone i have a number to later. i am going to bed now. I'll tell ya'll more later, but in short, this is a fantastic place and lisa and i wish we could stay for a month. We will return.

Ouch!! That must have been a sight walking in to the ER with a crankbait attached to your finger. Happened to me when I was about 5, not fun!

Bama, is that the same indestructible crankbait you're had for forever? I remember you got that thing hung about 6 times at Calling Panther, but it always came back to you.

Louann was the first person I thought of when John sent me this text. And I might also add that it was a 4lb bass that caused Louanns incident, and from the sounds of it if there was a fish involved at all (which sounds sketchy) it was a little one........just thought I would point that out. Don't feel bad John, my dad had a short strike on a lipless crankbait the other day and somehow ended up with one hook in his lip and another in the side of his face.

Glad your ok buddy.

Forget the fingers, I hope they at least saved that bait! I've got a Norman crank just like that, and I love it. And our BPS doesn't carry that color...

John, I'd let Lisa get her own fish off the crankbait. It would save you a trip to the er.

Ya'll are killing me, i am laughing my arse off.

Yes ssissippiboy...SAME good ol little indestructable crank bait. I am in love with that booger now.Lol. As soon as we can we will download the pics we took which ain't too many involving fish, hahaha. I DID catch more than lisa this time. She will confirm it to. We decided to come home today (her sister is here now, more important than me i guess, HAHAHAHA!). I am hitting guntersville lake with my bro-in-law tomorrow. Then i am fishing weiss with the man who built our new house. having a great time, toured some caverns today. Forgive my spelling of the name, SEQUOYAH (?) caverns....family owned for over 170 years. If oyu are EVER in this area, i STRONGLY suggest you visit these caverns because they are beautiful. Lots of formations inside. The tour we went on was just 1/4 of what is there. We truly enjoyed it.

I use to keep a pair of linesman plyer cutters in the boat just for such things. Cut the hook off and keep on fishin.
Gonna hurt like heck tomorrow.

Ant.... i tried to push it through but it was under my fingernail and to the bone. I cut it off the trebles and went to the hospital. Hahaha, one lady that worked there looked at it and said,"it's still in there?" I so wanted to say "here's your sign". But i said "honey, if it weren't i wouldn't be here now would i?"

"It's still in there?"

"Nope, I'm just here to see what you'd do if it WAS still in there... Here's your sign!"
