Northern Pike and cold fronts
Ok, a non bass fishing topic. I love catching pike as well as bass. My question is this. Are pike affected by cold fronts the same way as bass? The reason I'm questioning this is that pike are a cold water fish, whereas bass prefer warmer waters. The lake I'm fishing tomorrow has a few pike and I wouldnt mind trying for them if the bass won't cooperate. And a major cold front moved through the area today. Tomorrow will be cold and brite sunny skies with winds from 10-20 mph.

Jerkbaits man. Pike seem to love those expensive bass jerkbaits, especially LC pointers
Throw something cheaper like an X-rap (they love those too). You can catch pike and still have a chance for some bass. BB

My time growing up in SD, I found pike will take pretty much anything bass will. So just go bass fishing but expect to catch some pike too.

Cold and windy is great Northern fishing up here in the U.P. Daredevile spoons (red and white) are killer. Good luck...................

While I never catch the slimy buggers on purpose, it's been my experience that they do MUCH better in the cold water.
If stoopid Michigan would open pike season earlier, I'd fish em while waiting for bass season
