Default getting sick of senkos....

I can't believe how fragile senko's are! i can catch 2 fish on one, and then i have to wacky rig it or move to another one. What other brand makes a good soft jerkbait thats a little cheaper and more durable? I was thinking about givin the yum dinger a try.

Tons of senko's knockoff almost work as well as senko, such as Yum dinger, Tiki Stick. They are more durable than Senko.

Edge speed-falls that you get at walmart are the most durable and cost effective.

Tiki Sticks, Yum Dingers-there are a bunch of different brands out there. I never have bought a Senko-all mine are Tikis, Yum Digers and BPS Stick-Os.

Depends on what you're doing witht the lure that decides which knock off to use. If you wacky rig a Senko using a rubber ring around the middle, supposedly the worm lasts for more casts and fish. If you're using the Senko primarily as a jerk worm in shallow water or as a forward weighted worm (bullet wt.) in deeper water, most knockoffs do fine and last 5x longer than the Senko.

Tiki sticks are too stiff in my opinion and I've had luck with Assalt.com sticks or Wacko Worms, which are the least expensive quality sticks sold.
Big Bite Baits.com also has a decent stick. StikOs have had a quality control problem (uneven amounts of salt between baits) and I stopped using them before I made my own.

I handpour my own and in a tournament would never use anything else.
I don't go crazy with salt and like to use a split shot right up against the worm's nose. The salt's the problem with Yamamoto products and the Sweet Beaver. One lure/ one fish. Thank god I can copy both and reuse the plastic once it's been chewed by 4 or five bass.

I'm not big on the sl-o-w horizontal drop (which Senkos excel at) and twitch my sticks all the way to the bottom, sometimes letting them sit there for 20 seconds. If the plastic is soft enough, you still get a nice wiggly action which entice the strike.

Ill echo senko sam . I pour my own, and have had nothing but praise for em. I can pour them firmer if you want, softer if you prefer, but to your specs none-the-less. Ive got a couple guys that have won tournies with em. There are better brands out there, certainly.

Get a bottle of PRO's Soft~Bait Glue and you won't have to worry anymore. I have caught up to 34 fish on one SENKO and I do mean a SENKO not a knock off brand. I have tested about everyone out there, none are like a SENKO, but them in a bath tub full of water and you will see what I'm talking about!!

gunny. Have you tried a small hand poured company? traditionally they can make a bait softer, and more durable than an injection mold machine. I know my stiks are on par, or better than GYCB, and a friend who also does hand pours has numerous pros that wont go back to the name brand.

3x makes one called a zero. Fairly effective, and they last all day.

I agree with others, Tiki Sticks are really durable, plus you may be able to buy them at the local Wal-Mart for a very decent price, atleast around here you can. But as far as worms go, I like Berkley baits, they are around at local Wal-Marts as well.

Try wacko as they are cheap and work better than senko's
http://www.wackyworm.com/wwwacko.html

My client and owner of the company gave me a bunch to try. 40 to be exact. I caught over 90 fish on those 40 worms.

Ok I may be partial to them because of generosity of the owner but they work. Since then I have purchased at full cost over 500 of them in the last two years. Guess what?? I need another 200 to make through the season.. Wish they made Horny Toads.

Now I have let the secret out..

Bite N Bass Stick Bites, all you ever need, 3 dollars for a pack of 12, any color you choose, and super durable! I caught 4 fish on 1 and it still had life left in it! I could have used it all day, but had to pull in due to time constraints. Also they are loaded to the gills(pardon the pun) with an awesome scent whihc drives bass wild! check em out at www.geocities.com/bitenbass

I've used Yum Dingers and they're good, but I use mostly Senkos. I can get four or five fish per bait by cutting off 1/4" from the nose when it gets ripped. And then rigging from the other end. And sometimes repairing tears by heating the tears and fusing them back together. I've also used the Speed Worms and caught fish. And today I caught a big fish on a Zoom Z-Nail.

Rotflmao Mac. Somewhere, and from somebody I've heard this from before also I have decided that since the fishing has been slow for me. I'm going out tommorrow if I get the chance, and buying some speedworms, and using this technique. Thanks for refreshing my memory

Pretty happy w/ tiki's. There may be better, there may be cheaper. But I've come to the conclusion, get what you are happy w/ and use it.
