Default MinnKota Quik Release Bow Mount - MISSING RELEASE PIN!

So I get out on the lake with my 'new' boat and think I really need to test the trolling motor. So I unlock the forward latch and pull the rear cord to release and move the motor up and forward to go in the water.
Imagine my surprise when the whole thing came right up off the mount. I could have lost it if I wasn't going real slow!
I later realized that the locking pin is just missing - the nylon tether is there, ring intact, but the pin that keeps it from releasing is just GONE! (then I was thinking too...this thing was just 'setting' up there as I was towing down the highway!!!!

I find many places on the web where the entire mount is sold but I can't find anywhere that just sells the locking pin.
Anybody know where I can get one?

Dad,

I agree that on a simple part like that, grabbing something from a hardware store or similar is a good idea.

However, just for your information...if you ever need anything specific, or hard to find for your trolling motor, you might want to check out

www.trollingmotorparts.com

or

www.jonestrollingmotor.com

Jones Trolling Motor Services has been very helpful to me, even diagnosing problems over the phone or through e-mail, when I hadn't even bought anything. They will probably be getting my business if I need something.

Come to find out it's just a standard linch pin and I got it at the hardware section of my local home store.
