Default I just got my first boat!

Well I went and did it. My wife and I bought a boat over the weekend. A guy that has a cabin about 15 lots down from ours wanted to sell us his used boat and let us try it out over the weekend.

The only sad thing is that it's a ski boat and not a fish/ski combo. I'll still put a troling motor on it and fish from it. I really don't need a live well as I don't fish tournies.

We got a 91 Larson All American with 115HP Outboard.

I've already had some bad luck and we broke the wench cable on our shore station already. We bought it used and the cable must have been worn.

Has anyone replaced a wench cable on a shore station before? Is it very hard?

Either way, a useful piece of equipment.

PS: Where does one attach the cable on the latter?

Christopherkeene -- The winch cable is for my Shore-Station (boat lift) at my cabin. This way I don't have to deal with using the trailer to pull it in and out of the water.

Has anyone ever had to replace this cable? I just received my new cable today and there are no instructions. I will see how things go this weekend when I try to fix it.
