My first thought before I read any posts was 4 lbs and change. Five-ish if it had a full belly.

No way, no matter how much food it eats, is that fish 10 lbs.

Ive been weighing everything I catch thats over 15". Its changed my view on weight in an eye opening way.

Not anywhere close to 10lbs, i dont even think it makes 6lbs. I'd go with 5lbs. Its just not fat enough to make it above that.

I'd say it will go near 6 lbs. A 10 lb bass is a monster. The fish in my avatar only weighed 7.5 lbs and it looked bigger than that when I saw him break the surface with my spinnerbait in his mouth. Bout had a heart attack!

I would put it at 5.5 to 6. I weigh in fish at tournaments at least once a month, so I have gotten pretty good at estimating weights. Some fish will fool you, but there is no way that fish is anywhere near 10.

Agreed. Its a good fish regardless of weight. And for the sake of fish stories, what the heck, make it 12 lbs

Weight Debate? Well, sometimes I weight debate with a 1/16 oz, sometimes a
1/8, and occasionally a 1/4...if I need to get debate deeper quicker.

My personal guess would be 4 pounds, 12 ounces - with it under no circumstances being over 6. Could be 5, but its kinda skinny.

I like to think it's a 10lber bass. That means all my the ones I caught that were double digit 10+lbers were really 15-20lbers, maybe even the new world record.

Not a chance. Maybe 6 at best. It's a very nice bass as it is. I see no reason to stretch the truth. But ya know what! The fact that this kid claims it is 10 pounds tells me he is a true fisherman!!! The best story tellers in the world. By the time he is 75 years old, his grand children will hear him tell about the bass that dragged his boat around the lake untill he wrestled in the monster of a life time, only to have the bass swallow the trolling motor and jump out off the boat to freedom.
